He has experience in the management of organic waste in agriculture, analysis of heat shock proteins (HSPs) and trehalose in ectomycorrhizal fungi in studies of thermotolerance, and current research in soil ecology (soil enzymes and soil bacterial community ) in the Brazilian Cerrado. He is currently associate professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia. Active in research projects involving the area of microbial processes, environmental microbiology, preservation and conservation of natural resources of the savanna. Studies focusing on the training of human resources in the following areas: microbial metabolism, physiology of microorganisms, biochemical indicators of soil quality, environmental management and soil ecology. Participates and coordinates research activities in the area of endophytic bacteria in the rhizosphere of cotton plants, with emphasis on generating processes applied to agricultural biotechnology and sustainable preservation of agricultural systems. He acted as Coordinator of the Undergraduate Program in Environmental Engineering and is currently coordinator Postgraduate course on Environmental Quality. Currently coordinates the area of microbial ecology of soil and is responsible for the area of molecular biology and genomics applied to agriculture and environmental sciences.
