Graduate in Agronomy (1979), Master in Genetics and Improvement (1985), both at the Federal University of Viçosa and PhD in Genetics and Plant Breeding at ESALQ/ USP (1998). Full Professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia and scholarshipProductivity in Technological Development and Innovative Extension of CNPq. He gained great experience in the Coordination of Soy Improvement Program, initiated with the hybridizations, advancement of segregating generations, selections of superior genotypes in the experimental fields, obtaining 15 new conventional cultivars.He acted as a speaker at Field Days in the main Soybean Agroins of the country, in the period 2005-2018. He is Postgraduate teaching advisor in Agronomy in the following subjects: classical improvement, emphasis on the application of new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and MicroRNA, aiming genetic resistance to diseases, pests and drought. In soy.study conducted a bibliometric analysis using the Web of Science and Scopus databases, in the last 20 years,the author Osvaldo Toshiyuki Hamwaki, that what he presented most publishes in the area to the world, is linked to Federal University of Uberlândia
